Backstreet Boy to take kids charity nationwide
As a Backstreet Boy, Brian Littrell implores an imaginary girl to "quit playing games with my heart" in one of the band's biggest hits.

As a grown-up man, Littrell — who resides in Alpharetta — helps real children with real broken hearts — and plans to make his charity program, Healthy Heart Club for Kids, a nationwide effort.

Backstreet Boy A.J.'s dream collaborator Is ... Enya?
Nick Carter may have one up on his bandmates as far as solo discs go, but that's likely to change as the Backstreet Boys part ways for the next six months to focus on individual projects.

"We're going to go our separate ways for a while," A.J. McLean told MTV News recently, adding that his own solo debut is already well under way. "I've been working on it for about two years now, when I've had the time, and I have about 30 or 40 songs written so far. It's my very first record on my own, so it needs to be the best it can possibly be."

The Carters will do a reality show.
The Carters will do a reality show. Aaron, Angel, and Leslie already confirmed they will make part of it. Probably Nick will make small appearance once or twice, just as the rest of the family. Soon we going to give you more information about that.

Lulop.com has a video of Nick and his siblings - BJ, Aaron and Angel - leaving KOI restaurant on February 23. Aaron says the Carter Family are doing a reality show and Nick tries to hush it down a bit.

Weird World Excitement For '06
The Never Gone Tour may have ended but the excitement hasn't stopped at Weird World. This month we have loads of new exclusive content to get your Bakstreet Boys fix while the guys are off the road. The site currently is one of the only places where you can view the video for "I Still," which was released in selective markets worldwide. We also recently added a ton of journals from Andre Csillag, the band's own personal photographer. Andre has documented the day to day activities of the guys on their trek through Asia and Australia. Nick continues to send us installments of Nick's Corner. In the most recent episode, Nick braves a hurricane in the streets of Key West. Howie is sending more and more episodes of his critically aclaimed Travel Journal, Howie's Hot Spots. Look for Howie and the rest of the guys as they journey through some of the most amazing sites in Europe.

In December and January we also ran a wallpaper design contest in Weird World and we had loads of great entries. We'd like to congratulate Priscilla A. for her winning entry in the contest and share her creativity with the entire Backstreet Boys community. Her wallpaper is now available for download at www.backstreetboys.com

For her amazing design work, Priscilla won a Chi Flat Iron worth more than $100!

If you are not a Weird World member, click here to join for more contests and exclusive content!

Boy bands, Valentines day And blow-up kangaroos: watch the Backstreet boys' Australian press conference!
Wow. We don't know what else to say about the Backstreet Boys' first ever Australian tour. How about brilliant, awe-inspiring and just plain incredible? We got along to BSB's Australian press conference in Sydney to get the lowdown on their latest album 'Never Gone', and found out what they REALLY do with the underwear that gets thrown on stage! Watch all the action right here...
We're sad to say that yes, the Backstreet Boys have departed our shores, and no doubt left a trail of bleeding hearts in their wake. Howie, Brian, Nick, AJ and Kevin played four concerts while they were in town, and were met by loads of loyal fans who managed to scream louder than we ever thought possible!

Even though they've left Australia, we've got a bit more Backstreet Boys love heading your way! The guys did a press conference in Sydney, and we caught it all on tape for you to check out.

BSB talk about why it took them so long to bring their tour to Oz, the strangest gifts they've received from a fan, and what happens when underwear is thrown at them on stage. They also give the lowdown on how they'd woo a lady on Valentines Day, what it's like working together again, and what the future holds for one of pop music's biggest groups!

I've finally finished all my exams so I've got more time for this site again. I still haven't got my laptop back, so I still won't be able to do as much updates as usual, but more than the last few weeks.

Backstreet Boys Become Men
They may be 30-something men now, but the Backstreet Boys are back.

And a rabid fan base at Rod Laver Arena last night partied like it was 1999.

The boys never toured Australia at the height of their fame.

However, their comeback (tellingly after a few solo careers tanked) has worked best in Australia, so they've finally made the trip.

Of course it's a different show from the huge pop spectacular they delivered in their heyday when they would fly above the audience.

These days youngest boy Nick Carter is in his Fat Elvis stage, making any kind of elevation slightly dubious.

Indeed there's more than a little irony watching a sweaty, bulky Carter belt out their hits Larger Than Life.

Despite the years on the clock, the grown-up boys have an impressive arsenal of hits that have arguably aged better than they have: The Call, As Long As You Love Me, Shape of My Heart and the rousing Everybody (Backstreet's Back).

While the Melbourne show was the last one of their second-wind world tour, the ear-splitting screams and obvious devotion proved their loyal fans have long memories.

Last Boy Band Standing
Before Westlife won (and later bored) fans with their remakes. Before Taiwanese import F4 charmed and charged Filipino fans 10k for front-row tickets. Before Brit quartet Code Red made popsters laugh out loud with their dance steps... there were the Backstreet Boys.

Thanks to Howie, Kevin, AJ, Brian and Nick, music in the '90s will be remembered not only for the head-banging fellas from Seattle (Nirvana, who else), but also for the suave singing and dancing by the pretty boys who dominated the scene during the latter part of the decade.

It was the Backstreet Boys, or BSB to fans, who pioneered the era of manufactured boy bands and pop acts.

And since the boys really made it a point to set their band apart by insisting it was "all about the music," they would sometimes perform a capella just to prove they had the voice to back up their looks and marketability. Their efforts paid off since, it seems, they are the last band standing (read: Complete Five original members).

Backstreet Boys Hit Sydney
Yes, yes, yes, the Backstreet Boys are here! They played their first ever Australian show in Brisbane on Saturday, and hit Sydney last night for an unforgettable performance.

According to the group, this tour is "more about the music", which made it easier to bring to Australia and Asia. In years gone by, the guys have had massive stage productions with dancers and pyrotechnics, but this time, they've streamlined their show and made it a little simpler, but no less spectacular!

"We've been having a great time on tour," said AJ.

But it hasn't been all work for the boys since they landed - the superstars had a few days off in Brisbane before their show, and shot over to Fraser Island, where they went scuba diving and fishing.
