Country singer Kellie Pickler and Backstreet Boy Nick Carter recently found themselves on the receiving end of a tantrum from a hulking 250 pound drag queen. The singers were hanging out at the Nashville gay hotspot Play Dance Bar in early July when a member of their entourage spilled a pitcher of Long Island Iced Tea just as a female impersonator named Dasani Waters was getting ready to take the stage. It was an honest mistake, but their timing was terrible, an insider source said. As their friend struggled to clean up the mess, Kellie and Nick started giggling. Dasani took it very personally. Even though they weren't laughing at her, she felt they were being disrespectful. |

This is all typed out by Superegirllondon @ LD, so credits go to her! This article is taken from the UK weekly celebrity magazine called Closer, issue 12-18 July '08. P47. The photo referred to is of the guys in front of a dianasour at Universal Studios in what looks like '93. Also included is a smaller photo of the guys this past year in Russia. 'This picture was taken at Universal Studios Florida in 1994. It's special to me because it represents the very beginning of Backstreety Boys. We were living in Orlando and noone knew who we were. We'd left school and had been signed by a management company, but we didn't havea record deal yet. At this point we could never have imagined we'd become the best-selling boyband of all time. |

July 12, 2008 Josh Hoge's myspace Lastly, as some of you know I have over the last year been working with other artists on their projects as a co-writer. Over the past week I've been spending a lot of time with Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys. We wrote a killer song together called "Scream" and recorded (demo) it yesterday. The boys recorded a song Ryan Tedder and I wrote called "Undone" a month ago, so this new one will either be for the BSB fellas or maybe Nicks solo project. Hes a great guy and we will be cowriting a ton over the next bit. Cant wait for you to hear both! Stay tuned... |

After a couple of Nick Carter Seen in the City sightings, several of you wrote to say Nick is making a solo album in Nashville. And Nick’s Nashville-based attorney, Jordan Keller, says you are correct! Nick isn’t leaving the Backstreet Boys – they’re all going on a North America tour in a couple of weeks — but Nick is making a solo pop album. He has been working some with Desmond Child, who did lots o’ writing and producing for Ricky Martin. Desmond has a place in Nashville and spends quite a bit of time here. Nick’s next Nashville appearance — Sunday night at the FUSE nightclub opening at Gaylord Opryland Resort. |

We’ve had several sightings in the last couple of years, even beyond when the Backstreet Boys made their new album in Franklin. On Saturday, Nick was spotted by my Brad spy, codename: Special K, at the Cool Springs Galleria. Special K reports that Nick looked like he just finished playing a basketball game: He had on hoops shorts and high tops with a white T-shirt. He pulled up in a white Lincoln truck, and Nick was rolling with a dude. No word on what he was buying. |
